ANDOVER BANK NOTICE OF YOUR FINANCIAL PRIVACY RIGHTS
Your trust is the cornerstone of our relationship. That is why we take every measure to safeguard your privacy. Since confidentiality has always been our standard practice, we have adopted the following privacy principles and have implemented them at all levels of our organization.
Collection of Information
The type of information we collect depends on the type of product or service you obtain from us. We may collect “nonpublic personal information” about you. “Nonpublic personal information” is information about you, which is not available from the public sources, obtained in connection with providing you with a financial product or service. We may collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets, income;
- Information about your transactions with us or others such as your account balance, payment history, products and services used, credit card usage; and
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as your credit worthiness and your payment history.
Sharing of Information
We do not share nonpublic personal information about you with any other nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by law. For example:
- We will share information with governmental entities as required by law, such as sending annual statement of earnings to the IRS, and to other third parties such as reporting account activity to credit bureaus or in response to subpoenas;
- We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. For your protection, however, we require other parties to agree to maintain the confidentiality of the information to at least the same extent that we do and not to use or further disclose the information for other purposes; and
- We are also permitted to share information with service companies we hire to assist us in servicing your Andover Bank products and services, such as your deposit account, ATM card or credit card or with other companies to carry out your requests, such as printing your checks.
If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to follow the privacy policies and practices as described in this statement.
Protection of Information
We restrict access to nonpublic information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. Our employees are educated and trained on the importance of confidentiality and privacy of customer information. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic information.
